Application for Postal Voting Facility

The Election Commission has announced that the applications for postal voting in GE 14 for Malaysian living overseas are now open from 23 January 2018. To register, one must downloadForm 1 B from www.spr.gov.my and return it before midnight on the day Parliament is dissolved. Any application form received after midnight on that day would not be processed.
Postal Voting Eligibility:

One must be registered as an ordinary voter
One must spend for not less than 30 days (not necessarily consecutively) in Malaysia during the five years before the dissolution of Parliament
One must be living overseas (excluding southern Thailand (Narathiwat, Pattani Yala, Songkhla and Satun), Singapore, Brunei and Kalimantan province, Indonesia.)

Once you have filled in the details in Form 1 B, you need to send your application to the headquarters of SPR (SURUHANJAYA PILIHAN RAYA MALAYSIA) at Putrajaya through one of the following methods:

For the GE14, the sending of the postal ballot papers would be fully managed by Pos Malaysia Bhd and no longer by the Foreign Ministry (Wisma Putra).
