董总教总留华同学会各获20万

   中国驻马来西亚大使白天宣布,中国大使馆将会各别捐助20万令吉给董总、教总及留华同学会,以支持3个华教机构在推动华文教育、留华升学与师资培训等方面所作出的努力和贡献。

白天:感佩对教育贡献

白天指出,他对于董教总和留华同学会在过去一直以来的合作无间和表现,给予高度的赞赏和鼓励;同时,他对三大华教机构致力推动教育工作所作出的贡献以及发挥的影响力,由衷的感佩和致敬。

由董总主席陈大锦、教总副主席李毅强及留华同学会会长莫泽林率领的访问团,日前拜会中国驻马大使并进行交流后,发表文告。

文告说,白天表示,他非常期待并建议三大华教团体未来能够秉持资源共享的理念,并经常或定期加强联系和协调,共同探讨对华文教育或是中马教育合作项目等课题,互通交流。

整合资源发挥效益

白天认为,各方可以进行有效的资源整合,发挥整体优势与效益。

“诚如董总、教总及独大所发动‘华教新路向’系列活动一样,以整合各方资源与力量,为华教运动注入新的思维、新的论述和新的策略。此外,在推动系列活动的同时,筹建一座综合培训中心,作为推广华文教育和促进文化交流的华教基地。”

文告指出,白天对董教总和独大倡议推动的华教新路向的做法,给予高度的重视,并认为这是象征大马华文教育发展进入另一个新的里程碑。

出席的三大华教团体代表,包括董总署理主席陈友信、秘书长黄再兴、副执行长(学务处)曾庆方、教总黄绍轩、常务理事吴清良、留华同学会会长莫泽林、副会长林国元及理事赵启发。

此外,陪同白天接见访问团的代表,包括中国驻马大使馆领事参赞刘东源及文化处主任冯军。

Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Bai Tian announced that The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia will officially donate RM200,000 to The United Chinese School Commitees’ Association of Malaysia (Dongzong), The United Chinese School Teachers’ Association of Malaysia (Jiaozong), and The Association of Graduates from Universities and Colleges of China, Malaysia (Liuhua) respectively in support of their continuous effort and contribution on fostering Malaysia’s Chinese Education,studying abroad in China, teacher training and more.   

In the conference meeting between the China Embassy and local leaders of the Chinese Education community earlier today , Bai Tian gives his high praise to the Chinese Education in Malaysia, referring it as “truly impressive” . Bai Tian says he feels heartened to see the drive and dedication of all three associations working hard together, pushing and nurturing chinese education since decades. 

In the future, Bai Tian strongly encourages the three associations to strengthen their mutual bond by sharing and utlizing resources among each other, suggesting activities such as hosting fixed discussions and exchange views on China-Malaysia education. Thus, able to optimise their growing platform to its fullest and bring larger benefit to the community as a whole.  

Speaking of which, envoy Bai Tian also expressed high approval on the “New Directions for Chinese Education” programme launched by Dongzong, Jiaozong and MUB Education Centre. This programme aims to combine resources to come up with new ideas, concepts and strategies for the education scene in Malaysia. A brand new comprehensive training building is also set to be built, acting as a foundation to achieve development in education and promote cultural exchange. “It is definitely a new milestone for Chinese Education in Malaysia, “refers Bai Tian. 

Attendees of the conference meeting include Head of Cultural Office Feng Jun and Counsellor for Consular Affairs Liu Dong Yuan; Dongzong representatives: President Tan Tai Kim, Deputy President Tan Yew Sing, Secretary Ng Chai Heng and Deputy CEO Chen Ching Fong; Jiaozong representatives: Vice President Lee Ngai Keong, Wong Chau Shing and Associate Goh Cheng Leong; Liuhua representatives: President Bock Chek Lim, Vice President Lim Kok Yan and Associate Bernard Chow.
